Strategic Alliances

Common Goals, the fundamental purpose of the strategic alliances is the strengthening institutional and the support of mutual through exchange of knowledge. Inside the Strategic Alliances of the Faculty of Engineering The Cement and Concrete Institute of Guatemala is highlighted (ICCG), Guatemalan Construction Chamber (CGC) and the ACI Chapter, where students have the opportunity to access up-to-date technical information about all concrete related matters and its development, participate in courses, workshops and Inter university competitions. This Strategic Alliance's allows students and teachers guides to be active members of the International ACI.

CIMNE Classroom

CIMNE Classroom

Pioneers in integration of international networks, the CIMNE classroom are physical spaces acting as joint laboratories for cooperation in educational activities, research and technological development (IDT). All this is developed in the field of numerical engineering methods.

The CIMNE Classroom Network is an international network made up of universities and companies with the aim of promoting international I+D projects, these works are developed in conjunction with the other members of the network and seeks to increase the international mobility of researchers between CIMNE classrooms, either for short or long periods of stay. Taking in account that the general objective is to provide a quality service in consulting on engineering matters, whether in the public or private sector. Currently, there are 30 CIMNE classrooms around the world, being the UMG-CIMNE classroom the only one in Guatemala.
